Dream and Delirium

Wow, what a dull title.

Yup, it's more Sandman fanart! I wanted to do something to contrast Delirium and her brother Dream, since those two spend the majority of Brief Lives in each other's company, and it's hard to think of two members of the Endless who are more different. Dream is somber, brooding and angsty, while Delirium... well, she's Delirium.

The interaction between these two made me crack up to no end ^^ Dream's bordering-on-the-edge-of-sarcastic dialogue worked really welll with Delirium's crazyness. Especially in the driving scene.

I can't shake the feeling that I should've done more with this picture; I should've made Dream look more brooding and angsty or something. This pic doesn't do him justice. But the Tshirt and Jeans ensemble was what he was wearing when he and Delirium first met up in the book, so I guess it stuck with me.

At first, I was going to make it so that they were in Delirium's realm, to emphasize the contrast between Dream's stark colour scheme and Delirium's wild one, but I didn't feel up to making another crazy background. So then I figured that the contrast would work just as well the other way, so that's why the grey castle bg is in there. It's the interior of a castle in Wales, by the way.

And yes, I do realize that I went a wee bit overboard on Del's hair Hey, it was fun!

Delirium: "Why is that car making that noise, WHOO-OOP, WHOO-EE-OOP, and flashing its lights at us?"
Dream: "I have no idea. Perhaps the driver wishes to talk with you."
